This week Officers from the Eastern Cape and Western Cape Divisions, along with leaders from Territorial Headquarters, gathered in George for a Mission Conference focused on strengthening our shared commitment to mission through The Salvation Army.

The conference opened with a session led by the Territorial Commander, Commissioner Torben Eliasen. The Chief Secretary, Lieut-Colonel Themba Mahlobo, and the Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries, Lieut-Colonel Nokuthula Mahlobo, also led programme sessions throughout the week, offering guidance, insight, and challenge.

Each morning began with Breakfast with God—a time set aside for devotion and reflection, helping officers start the day with their hearts settled in God’s Word. The conference programme focused on themes such as self-development, developing others, raising the next generation, and sustainability. These subjects sparked thoughtful conversations and practical ideas for ministry in the local context.

Times of worship and devotions created space for spiritual encouragement, and the conference closed with a strong sense of purpose and a renewed commitment to serving in the places where God has called each officer.

We thank God for this opportunity to be together, and we are trusting Him to bring lasting fruit from all that was shared, learned, and experienced.
