The Home League ladies of Soweto Central Corps in the Central Division dedicated several weeks to preparing for the renewal of Home League pledges, culminating in a meaningful ceremony held at the Corps on Thursday, March 21, 2024. In the lead-up to this significant day, Major Iris Zungu and her Home League local officers purposefully guided the ladies through reflections on each of the fourfold purposes of the Home League: Service, Education, Worship, and Fellowship. These sessions provided opportunities for the ladies to soak in valuable Biblical principles, engage in enriching fellowship and acquire practical skills, including the art of making bath salts.

On the day of the ceremony, Thursday, March 21, the ladies, supported by the young women of the Corps, as well as family and friends, came together for a time of reflection and recommitment. This included a meaningful candlelighting ceremony and the ladies were given opportunity to renew their membership and involvement in the Home League. Major Leanne Browski shared a message based on 2 Samuel 9, urging the ladies to take their God-given place and to ‘bring others to the the table’ that they too may experience the blessings of walking with the Lord.

The Home League ladies of Soweto Central Corps stand poised and ready to continue their journey of growth, walking side by side with one another, and reaching out to other women with the love and message of Christ!
