On Saturday, 7 June, despite the stormy weather, Athlone Corps in the Western Cape Division came together for a remarkable soup and bread drive, ensuring that homeless and vulnerable individuals received much-needed nourishment. The harsh conditions did not deter the generosity and compassion of those who contributed, making the event a true testament to human kindness.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the generous individuals who provided pots of warm soup and donated bread, enabling us to serve many in need. Their kindness made a significant difference, offering comfort and sustenance during challenging times.
A special thank you goes out to our dedicated volunteers who braved the storm to distribute food, ensuring that no one was left hungry. Their selflessness and commitment are the backbone of our mission, showing that even in adversity, kindness prevails.
This initiative was more than just a meal—it was a moment of connection, care, and solidarity. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who played a part in making it happen, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to support those in need.
Together, we make a difference.
