This week, The Salvation Army stood alongside 122 families in the uMthatha area in the Eastern Cape Division, who were left struggling after the recent floods. With compassion and practical care, warm meals were served and food vouchers were distributed to help families rebuild daily life. The Chief Secretary, Lieut Colonel Themba Mahlobo, together with Lieutenants Mabuza, the Corps Officers serving in the Mount Frere section, were present, listening, encouraging, and reminding those affected that they are not forgotten. By standing alongside the affected families, they demonstrated Jesus’ love in action, offering both comfort and hope.
