The Northern KwaZulu Natal Division was richly blessed by the ministry of our Territorial Leaders, Colonels Stephen and Theresa Malins, during their visit from 24–26 July 2026.
The visit commenced on Friday with a Divisional Officers’ Meeting at Mahhashini Corps under the inspiring theme, Come to the Table. The gathering provided a valuable opportunity for officers to engage with the Territorial Strategic Plan (TSP), fostering meaningful discussion, renewed commitment, and a shared vision for the future. The day concluded with warm fellowship among the officers. In the afternoon, the Territorial Leaders visited Mountain View Ministries, where they met with staff and witnessed first-hand the ministry’s ongoing service to the local community.
On Saturday, the Territorial Leaders travelled across the division, visiting several Corps and centres of interest. At each location, they encouraged officers, soldiers, adherents, and local leaders, affirming the faithful ministry taking place throughout the Northern KwaZulu Natal Division. Their presence brought renewed hope, inspiration, and a strong sense of unity.
The visit concluded on Sunday with a joyful worship service and fellowship at Nongoma Corps, attended by Salvationists from surrounding Corps in the Nongoma area. The congregation was deeply encouraged by the inspiring messages shared by the Territorial Leaders. Territorial President of Women’s Ministries, Colonel Theresa Malins, reminded the congregation that God sees every individual and remains present in every circumstance of life.
Preaching from Psalm 23:5 and 2 Samuel 9:1–11, Territorial Commander Colonel Stephen Malins reflected on God’s abundant grace and His invitation to all people to come to the Master’s table. Drawing on King David’s invitation to Mephibosheth, he reminded the congregation that God’s welcome is not based on our worthiness or present circumstances, but on His covenant love and grace. He encouraged everyone to accept Christ’s invitation, experience His restoring love, and respond with renewed faith, deeper commitment, and wholehearted service.
The Northern KwaZulu Natal Division gives thanks to God for this memorable and Spirit-filled visit. We are grateful for the encouragement, vision, and Christ-centred leadership shared by our Territorial Leaders, and we pray that the seeds sown during these days will continue to bear lasting fruit in the lives of officers, soldiers, and the communities we are privileged to serve.
