Women from across the Mpumalanga and Eswatini Division gathered at Barberton Corps from 4-6 September 2026 for the annual Home League Rally under the theme, Beauty Unfolding at Tables. Home League members, officers, guests and visitors from the Mozambique Territory came together for a special weekend of worship, fellowship, learning and spiritual renewal.
From the opening session, there was a strong sense of God’s presence as women united in praise, prayer and fellowship. The gathering provided an opportunity to step away from the demands of everyday life, reconnect with one another and spend time around God’s table, growing in faith and encouraging one another in ministry.
The rally began with a devotion from Acts 3:1-10, where Lt. S. Nyawo reflected on the account of Peter and John meeting the man who had been unable to walk. Women were reminded that God is able to bring transformation where people see little hope. The message acknowledged the many burdens people carry, whether physical, emotional or mental, and pointed to a God whose power still brings healing, restoration and renewal.
One of the blessings of the weekend was the fellowship shared with visitors from Mozambique. Their participation added warmth and richness to the gathering, reflecting the unity that exists among God’s people beyond geographical borders. Together, women worshipped, learned and celebrated their shared calling to serve Christ in their communities.
Alongside times of worship and Bible teaching, the rally addressed issues affecting women, families and communities. Presentations on human trafficking, gender-based violence and therapeutic wellness encouraged women to remain informed and vigilant while also caring for their emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing. These practical sessions reflected the Home League’s commitment to ministering to the whole person and responding to the realities women face in daily life.

A moving Siyabakhumbula remembrance service honoured Home League members who had been Promoted to Glory. Delegates took time to reflect on the legacy of faithful women whose service and commitment helped shape the ministry. It was a poignant reminder that today’s Home League continues to build on foundations laid by those who have gone before.
Scripture remained at the centre of the rally throughout the weekend. Major I. Zungu encouraged delegates from 1 Samuel and Job, reminding them that God’s promises are sure and that what He has prepared for His people cannot be taken away. Women were encouraged to trust that God’s mercy can find them wherever they are and that He remains faithful to His purposes for their lives.
Later, Colonel F. G. Khoza drew attention to Jesus at the table through a message from John 13. Reflecting on Christ’s example of humility, service and love, she challenged women to deepen their relationship with God and continue serving faithfully within their Corps, families and communities.
The rally also celebrated faithful service and commitment. Divisional awards recognised Corps and members for their contributions to Home League ministry, while those who completed the Home League Correspondence Course were acknowledged for their dedication to learning and spiritual growth. These moments highlighted the passion and perseverance of women who continue to strengthen the ministry through their leadership and service.
The final day brought the rally to a joyful conclusion. Women were encouraged by messages from visiting leaders, uplifting ministry items, testimony and worship. A particularly meaningful moment was the commissioning of Home League leaders, reminding everyone that leadership is a ministry of service and stewardship.
Delegates were also inspired by a testimony of God’s healing grace and challenged through a final message from Luke 15:11-27. Major Zungu encouraged women to remain at the table God has prepared for them and to remember that He continues to welcome, restore and make all things new.
As women returned to their homes, Corps and communities, they carried with them renewed faith, fresh encouragement and a deeper commitment to serve God. The rally served as a powerful reminder that the Home League continues to provide a place where women can grow spiritually, support one another and respond to the needs of their communities with the love of Christ. Under the theme Beauty Unfolding at Tables, women found not only fellowship around a shared table, but also renewed purpose for the journey ahead.
