Opportunities for Salvation Army officers to step away from their regular appointments and engage in focused spiritual and leadership development are both meaningful and significant. One such opportunity is attending the International College for Officer training (ICO) in London, an international gathering that brings together officers from across the world for a season of learning, reflection and renewal.
During this time, delegates engage with Scripture, explore leadership within a global mission context, and share in the richness of diverse ministry experiences. It is also a space that allows for personal spiritual refreshment, helping officers return to their appointments with renewed clarity and purpose.
In this regard, Major Philele Buthelezi departed last night to attend ICO, where she will join fellow officers from various territories. We pray that this time will be one of encouragement, insight and strengthening for the journey ahead.
