Major Sibongile Muyanga from the Umlazi Corps in the Mid Kwa Zulu Natal Division departed today for the International College for Officers (ICO) in London. The 6 week ICO programme focuses on leadership development and is committed to providing an environment conducive for officers to flourish spiritually. The ICO achieves this through insightful teaching, prayer, dynamic worship, authentic international fellowship and intentional hands-on experiences.

To enhance the learning experience, ICO also organizes field trips to historic locations in Greater London and beyond. These excursions serve as a tangible connection to the rich history of The Salvation Army giving delegates valuable insights that deepen their understanding of the Army’s legacy and its place in the world. Delegates also have the opportunity to visit IHQ and some Corps during their stay.

The ICO is committed to shaping leaders who can navigate the complexities of the contemporary world. Through its comprehensive approach to leadership development, the ICO ensures that its officers emerge not only with theoretical knowledge but also with the practical skills and experiences needed to make a lasting impact in their communities.

We pray God’s blessing upon Major Sibongile Muyanga as she attends the ICO!
