As winter’s chill settles over Southern Africa, The Salvation Army’s Winter Warmth Campaign is truly heating up. Our dedicated Officers, soldiers and friends have moved out into their communities, spreading warmth and compassion to those in need. This campaign has seen an outpouring of love and support, making a difference in many places around the country.

In various communities, The Salvation Army has provided hot, nutritious meals that bring much-needed comfort during these cold days. The sight of steaming cooked food and warm smiles has been a blessing to many.

The distribution of clothes and blankets has been a critical component of our efforts. As temperatures drop, these essential items offer not just physical warmth but also a sense of care and dignity to those who receive them. Teams across the territory have been tirelessly working to ensure that as many people as our resources allow are helped.

As we continue to face the challenges of winter, The Salvation Army remains committed to its mission of serving others. The Winter Warmth Campaign is more than just an initiative; it is our desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those who are suffering and in need of hope and relief.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this campaign. Your support and kindness are making a real difference, spreading warmth and light in even the darkest of winter days. Together, we are doing it all for Jesus, as He said, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25:40).

  1. It has been encouraging to see Salvationists around the Territory serving suffering humanity, this is in our DNA. My prayer, is that this will continue beyond a special weekend and become habit in every Corps and Institution.
