The Mission Team was deeply involved in numerous ministries during the month of May, playing a crucial role in raising awareness for the Child Protection campaign. Here is a glimpse of what the team was up to:

In May, the Mission Team conducted two school ministries at Eastgate Primary School and Basa Tutorial Institute, where they spoke about Child Protection Week and ways for children to protect themselves from abuse and bullying. On the 23rd, the team participated in a roadshow at the Territorial Headquarters during the launch of Child Protection Week. The Mission Team was joined by Divisional Youth Officers (DYOs) and Divisional Children’s Ministries Officers (DCMOs) from different divisions, as it was also the week of the Divisional Youth Officers and Divisional Children’s Ministries Officers Conference.

On the 28th of May, the team ran a program at the Johannesburg Children’s Home, where they provided safety tips to the children and offered encouragement through a Bible story. On the 30th, the Mission Team went outside and “painted the city green.” They conducted street evangelism in Kensington, engaging in conversations with residents about Child Protection and the importance of keeping children safe. They also stood by the streets, holding signs and handing out pamphlets about Child Protection to passing cars.

All for your glory Lord Jesus
Well done Mission Team 🫶
