This month, the Mid KwaZulu-Natal Division launched an exciting new initiative focused on strengthening marriages and families. Designed to equip couples with the tools needed to build healthy, Christ-centered relationships, the initiative brought together spouses from across the Division for a time of learning, renewal, and spiritual growth. This first event set the stage for fostering strong marriages that will, in turn, strengthen families and create safer, more connected communities.

We believe that strong marriages produce strong families and create safe communities. This event was an answer to prayer for many couples, as they shared during the gathering. Couples were encouraged to learn their spouse’s love language based on The Five Love Languages. The vow renewal ceremony was especially beautiful, as each couple recommitted themselves to one another. There was also a special time for each couple to express their feelings by writing a card to their spouse. The couples spent time in prayer, thanking God for sustaining their marriages and asking for His continued blessing.

Now that this initiative has been launched, we believe each Corps and section will be encouraged to continue this effort. We thank God for this time spent strengthening families, and we strive to build families that reflect Christ in different communities.
