The Mission Team, in partnership with African Enterprise, participated in a 10-day evangelism programme that took place in various parts of Soweto from September 5th to 15th. The aim of the mission was to engage with local residents, understand their needs, and offer spiritual support through prayer and encouragement.

The team visited different neighborhoods within Soweto, engaging with residents through door-to-door visits, one-on-one interactions, and open-air gatherings led by various pastors from local churches. The Mission Team had the opportunity to share personal testimonies about their faith journeys and discuss how faith can provide hope during challenging times.

Prayer Sessions: The team displayed prayer boards in public areas, which were also used for drive-thru prayers. Individuals were invited to share their concerns or struggles, after which the team prayed collectively for them. This created an atmosphere of support and solidarity.
Distribution of Resources: In addition to spiritual support, the team distributed discipleship materials to all those who had accepted Christ.
Ministries: The Mission Team also shared a ministry through creative arts and dance, which attracted locals and provided an opportunity to share the Gospel.

Overall Experience for the Mission Team: This experience has been spiritually uplifting for the team. They gained confidence in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and learned a great deal about themselves. The opportunity to partner with other churches in winning more lives for Christ was one of the highlights shared among the team.

The outreach to Soweto was deemed successful in achieving its objectives of sharing love, offering prayers, and instilling hope within the community. The experiences gained will inform future missions aimed at fostering deeper relationships with communities while addressing both spiritual needs and practical challenges faced by residents.
