As the 2025 Mission Team continues to journey together, young Salvationists from across the Southern Africa Territory are growing spiritually, developing leadership skills, and learning what it truly means to serve others in the name of Christ. Here, several team members share their testimonies of transformation and purpose. These are not just personal reflections—they are living invitations to other young people to consider joining this life-changing programme in 2026.

Lusanda Ntimene – Steenbok Corps, Mpumalanga & eSwatini Division
My time on the Mission Team has been life-changing. Before joining, I struggled with self-identity and connecting with others. Today, I’m learning new skills, building meaningful relationships, and discovering the joy of spending time with God in prayer and Scripture. I used to isolate myself, but now I understand that I don’t have to face challenges alone. Mission Team taught me that asking for help is a strength, not a weakness. A verse that has stayed with me is 1 Corinthians 13—love is patient, kind, and enduring. That kind of love has shaped my time here.

Siphosethu Sarah Sibulele Memani – South Rand Corps, Central Division
Mission Team has opened my eyes to self-awareness and helped me process past experiences. It has deepened my prayer life and taught me new ways to serve in Children’s Ministries. Spiritual disciplines like daily Bible reading have become part of my rhythm. Proverbs 3:5–6 reminds me to trust fully in the Lord, not in my own understanding. I am excited to see what more God has in store this year.

Sima Nxele – Ibhayi Corps, Eastern Cape Division
This journey has equipped me with practical ministry tools. From leading youth programmes to preparing sermons and testimonies, I feel more confident in my calling. Creativity in Children’s Ministry has stretched my thinking and sparked new passion in me. John 15:16 affirms that I was chosen by God to bear lasting fruit. I believe I am here for a reason—to do His will and bring others closer to Christ.

Denzhe Jennifer Singo – William Eddie Corps, Limpopo Division
Since joining the team, my relationship with God has grown stronger. I have learned how to structure time for prayer, understand the Word through meditation, and accept who I am. Spiritually, I have matured, and I am excited for the journey ahead. Mission Team has helped me discover my identity in Christ, and I’m eager to live it out.

Andile Phakathi – Hammarsdale Corps, Mid KZN Division
Before Mission Team, I struggled with daily devotions and focused prayer. Now, I can pray for extended periods, create Children’s programmes, and reflect deeply on God’s Word. James 1:22 reminds us to be doers of the Word. I have also learned to share my testimony without fear, trusting that my story can encourage others.

Zandile Makhubela – Block B Corps, Mpumalanga & eSwatini Division
Mission Team has helped me manage my time better—especially making space to connect with God. I have grown in confidence and now proudly identify as a Salvationist. This experience has shaped me both spiritually and personally. I encourage other young people: if you want to discover your identity in Christ, this is the place. Matthew 6:33 guides me to seek first His kingdom, and all else will follow.

Siboniso Nyawuza – Scottsfontein Outpost, Mid KZN Division
My mission team experience has focused my spiritual life. I have grown in prayer, deepened my Bible study, and begun to understand my calling in ministry—especially in reaching children. Luke 5:4 speaks to me: “Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” I’m trusting God for a great harvest.

These stories are just a glimpse of what God is doing through the Mission Team. Each testimony is a powerful reminder that God calls us to deeper relationship, bolder faith, and a life of service.

If you’re a young person seeking purpose, growth, and community—consider applying for the 2026 Mission Team. Step out in faith. Let God use your gifts. You are not too young to make an eternal impact.
