THQ was pleased to welcome Colonels Bishow and Pamela Samhika to THQ Family Prayers. The Colonels, who are appointed at the International College for Officers in London, were warmly welcomed by Lieut-Colonel Themba Mahlobo, the Chief Secretary.
Following the welcome, Colonel Pamela Samhika led the meeting through the international and local prayer topics, and the THQ family had the opportunity to pray and intercede together.
Colonel Bishow Samhika, Training Principal at the College, shared an encouraging message on the theme of family. Drawing from the parable of the prodigal son, he reminded us that we are all part of God’s family—called to love, restore, and care for one another. He enriched his message with insights from the Hebrew understanding of family and the Japanese tradition of repairing broken pottery with gold, a powerful image of how God brings beauty even from brokenness.
The time together was a warm and encouraging reminder of the grace that holds us together as God’s family—loved, restored, and called to reflect that same love to others.
