Joining the Mission Team doesn’t mean you are taking time off but it is about setting time apart. It is a year intentionally given to spiritual growth, bold obedience, and Kingdom purpose. It’s a time to let God shape your heart, stretch your faith, and prepare you for whatever He has planned next. You won’t come back the same – because when you give God your year, He gives you far more in return.
What is the Mission Team?
The Mission Team is a full-year discipleship and ministry programme that will stretch you, shape you, and send you. It’s for people who are serious about their walk with God and want to make a real difference – in their own lives and in the world around them. You’ll spend the year journeying through three phases that each focus on a different aspect of following Jesus:
Phase 1 – Inner Discipleship: Back to Basics
Discipleship is about becoming more like Jesus while living out His mission in real, practical ways. This phase focuses on healing, personal growth, and building a solid foundation in Christ. You’ll:
- Revisit the reality of your salvation
- Allow God to heal past hurts
- Learn how to walk in victory over sin
- Grow in your identity as a child of God
- Discover and develop your spiritual gifts
- Build strong unity with your team
- Train in drama, dance, and other ministry tools.
Phase 2 – Outward Discipleship: Practical Ministry
This is where you put your faith into action more and more. You’ll receive hands-on training in ministry and develop skills that will equip you for life and leadership, such as:
- Evangelism and sharing your faith
- Children’s and youth ministry
- Preaching and teaching
- Basic counselling tools
- Addressing real-world issues with a Biblical response
- Spiritual warfare and servant leadership
- Leading ministry that’s lasting – not just a “hit and run” event.
Phase 3 – Homeward Discipleship: Re-entry
The journey doesn’t end when the programme does. This final phase is all about helping you walk confidently into the future God has for you – strong, grounded, and on fire for Him. You’ll receive:
- Ongoing mentorship and spiritual direction
- Space to seek God about your next steps
- Support in building a life of obedience and revival.
