On Sunday, 5 October 2025, Sobantu Corps Home League came together for a special Cancer Awareness Sunday, part of our observance of Cancer Awareness Month. As the first Sunday of October, the service focused on raising awareness, offering support, and sharing hope with everyone affected by cancer.

We were blessed to welcome Mrs. Mkhize as our guest speaker. She courageously shared her personal journey of living with cancer, testifying to how God has given her strength, courage, and faith through every stage of her journey. Her story served as a powerful reminder of God’s sustaining grace and the importance of trusting Him, even in life’s most challenging moments.

“I can do all this through him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13, New International Version). This verse reminded everyone present that no matter the challenges we face, God empowers us to persevere and provides the strength we need to face each day with faith and hope.

The service was filled with moments of reflection, prayer, and encouragement. Members were reminded of the value of faith, early health checks, and the importance of community support for those battling illness. The Corps also dedicated time to pray for individuals and families affected by cancer, reaffirming that God is our healer and the source of hope in every circumstance.

The day was inspiring and uplifting, strengthening our unity as a Corps family as we stood together in faith, compassion, and love.
