What an exciting and tremendous weekend we had with our Junior Soldiers! On 22 November 2025, the Eastern KwaZulu-Natal Division’s Junior Soldiers gathered at Esikhaleni Corps for the Junior Soldier Bible Challenge. With an impressive attendance of 105 children and leaders, the energy and anticipation in the room were unmistakable.
We had 11 teams who arrived more than ready for the challenge, and it quickly became evident that they had prepared well for this special day. The Bible Challenge was not only a great success but also a wonderful encouragement for those taking part for the first time.
All participants received certificates and gifts to inspire them, helping each one feel like a winner. Without a doubt, everyone learnt something from the book of James, which we focused on this year, as well as from the challenge itself.
It is heart-warming and encouraging to see young people excited about such healthy competitions—activities that help them grow in their knowledge of Christ. The success of our Divisional Bible Challenge is thanks to the dedication of Sunday School teachers, Company Guards, Corps Leaders, Officers, Divisional Leaders, and our Territorial Youth Department, who provided support and resources to ensure our children were well prepared.
We watched teams come together, negotiate answers, and show equal determination to respond accurately and compete with excellence. In the end, Catherine Booth Corps emerged as the champions, Estill Corps secured 2nd place, and Eshowe Corps took 3rd place.
Our day ended with great excitement, celebration, and fun, led by Lieutenant A. Mbane with the support of other officers and Company Guards.
