The Salvation Army Mid KwaZulu-Natal Division, in partnership with the Alexandra Road South African Police Service (SAPS), recently visited a primary school in Ashburton to bless learners in a practical way.

Thirty-three learners received new school shoes and socks, bringing joy and encouragement to the children and support to their families. Small acts of care such as these make a meaningful difference and help learners attend school with dignity and confidence.

This outreach forms part of an ongoing partnership between the Divisional Headquarters and Alexandra Road SAPS, which has been growing over the past two years. Together, they have conducted awareness programmes on Gender-Based Violence and Anti-Human Trafficking in and around Pietermaritzburg, working closely with senior SAPS management.

The Salvation Army is grateful for this partnership and the opportunity for the Church to stand alongside community stakeholders in bringing hope, support, and practical assistance where it is needed most.
