The Mpumalanga & Eswatini Division joyfully welcomed and installed its new Divisional Leaders, Majors Xolani & Iris Zungu, during the weekend of 7–8 February 2026, a time marked by unity, fellowship, and spiritual renewal.
Activities began on Saturday, 7 February, with a Local Officers’ and Officers’ Meeting led by Lt Colonels Themba and Nokuthula Mahlobo (Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries). The new Divisional Leaders were introduced, and officers were encouraged to fully support the leadership. The atmosphere was joyful as the Leaders shared brief greetings and fellowship with local officers. The day concluded with an Officers’ Meeting, setting the tone and expectations for the year ahead.
On Sunday, 8 February, officers and soldiers took part in a Witness March and formal salute, followed by a joyful Installation Service. Soldiers from across the Division expressed words of welcome and pledged their support for the mission ahead.

Major Iris Zungu (Divisional Director of Women’s Ministries) delivered a response from Genesis 46:28–29: “Now Jacob sent Judah ahead of him to Joseph to get directions to Goshen. When they arrived in the region of Goshen, Joseph had his chariot made ready and went to Goshen to meet his father Israel. As soon as Joseph appeared before him, he threw his arms around his father and wept for a long time.” The passage highlighted God’s guidance, divine preparation, and the joy of reunion, reminding the Division that God goes ahead of His people and faithfully fulfils His promises.
The Bible message was shared by Major Xolani Zungu (Divisional Commander) from Isaiah 43:19: “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” This message encouraged the Division to embrace God’s new work with faith and expectation, assuring them that God is already at work, shaping a hopeful future.
In a meaningful cultural gesture, the Divisional Leaders were dressed in eSwatini traditional attire, symbolising acceptance, unity, and commitment as the Division steps forward together into a new chapter under God’s leading.
