Territorial Leaders:

Territorial Leaders: Colonels Alfred & Pamela Banda

Chief Secretary: Lieut-Colonel Shawn Critch

TSSLD: Lieut-Colonel Brenda Critch

Prayer Topics:

Praise:

· We give thanks for the very good rainy season in recent months, contributing to a successful harvest and increased food security, as well as much needed relief from the national energy crisis of the past two years.

· We give thanks for increasing financial stability for the territory.

Prayer Requests:

· Pray for the Territorial Officers’ Councils, scheduled for June, that it will be a time of spiritual renewal, empowering and equipping for mission. Pray for officer wellness and safety.

· Pray for the Territorial Youth Congress in July (theme: In the Light based on Ephesians 5:8); pray that our young people will grow deeper in their relationship with the Lord and be inspired to courageously share the Gospel.

· Pray for wisdom, guidance, and financial resources as we continue to implement the Territorial Strategic Plan (2024-2028). Pray that officers and Salvationists will continue to be ‘Mobilized to take part in Building a Vibrant Modern Territory, Obedient to God and Relevant in the 21st Century’.

· Pray for candidate recruitment as we anticipate a new session of cadets in February 2027.

· Pray for our cadets, Proclaimers of Transformation, as they are being commissioned in November.

· Pray for the spiritual growth of our soldiers and adherents, and that our corps will be beacons of light and hope in their communities, sharing the love of Jesus and meeting human need. Pray that evangelism efforts will result in new Senior and Junior Soldiers being enrolled throughout the Territory.

· Pray for a peaceful government election this year and that God’s plan and purposes might be accomplished in this Christian nation.

As we lift our cadets before the Lord, we recognise that this season of training is already shaping their hearts, their calling, and their daily walk with Him. May these prayer points guide us as we ask God to form in them deeper surrender, Christ-like character, and boldness to live and speak the Gospel now.

Willing Hearts and Steady Surrender
Prayer focus: That both first-year cadets (Keepers of the Covenant) and second-year cadets (Proclaimers of Transformation) would grow in daily surrender to God, learning to say “yes” to Him long before the moment of covenant is publicly declared at commissioning.

Scripture: “Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.” Romans 12:1

Formation in Character and Conviction
Prayer focus: That this season of training would shape deep roots – forming Christlike character, strengthening convictions, and grounding them firmly in God’s Word.

Scripture: “Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him.” Colossians 2:7

Courage to Speak and Live the Gospel Now
Prayer focus: That the cadets would not wait for commissioning to begin living out their calling, but would step forward with boldness, humility, and compassion in every opportunity they have currently.

Scripture: “We cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.” Acts 4:20
