The Home League Ladies of The Salvation Army in Namibia, Windhoek Corps, recently hosted a meaningful outreach event in the Otjomuise community, reflecting their ongoing commitment to caring for those in need. The day was filled with fellowship, sharing, and compassionate acts focused on uplifting the elderly women of the area.
The programme began with a brief Bible devotion based on 2 Corinthians 9:7–8, which highlights the value of giving with a joyful heart. The verse, “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give… for God loves a cheerful giver,” laid a spiritual foundation for the day’s activities, reminding all present of the call to selfless generosity and kindness.

Following the devotion, the women of the church served warm soup to attendees. This act of care brought both nourishment and comfort—especially appreciated after a sudden rain shower. The moment fostered a sense of unity, as warm conversations and shared laughter filled the air.
The outreach also included the distribution of blankets to the elderly women present. With the colder months approaching, this thoughtful gesture brought comfort and practical support, and was received with deep gratitude.
The event was a resounding success and a clear reflection of Windhoek Corps’ mission to serve its community. Through spiritual encouragement, a warm meal, and meaningful gifts, the Home League Ladies demonstrated love in action.
The ladies of Windhoek Corps remain committed to continuing such outreach efforts—supporting not only the physical needs of the community, but also nurturing spiritual well-being and unity.
