Lieutenant Owen Mutize, the Territorial Development Officer, has shared an exciting update with The War Cry about the ongoing initiative that is underway in the Western Cape Division, aimed at fortifying Early Childhood Development (ECD) Centres within the Territory.

The project encompasses several key objectives:
- Capacity Building: Empowering ECD practitioners and administrators with relevant qualifications to elevate the quality of education for the attending children.
- Renovation Efforts: Transforming three ECDs in the Western Cape into compliant and nurturing spaces, adhering to standards and regulations.
- Increased Enrolment: Drawing more children to our ECDs to strengthen these centres financially, fostering stability within the creches.
- Exemplary Centres: Elevating these ECDs to places of excellence, setting the standard within the Africa Zone.

Our hope and prayer is that every child entering any ECD under The Salvation Army’s stewardship experiences significant educational and spiritual impact. We deeply desire the positive ripple effect of this ministry to extend beyond the child, reaching and transforming the entire family connected with our ECDs. May it be so!
