Every year, especially at the beginning of the year, the youth at Letlhabile Corps embark on a prayer mountain journey. The purpose behind this annual tradition is to deepen their connection with God in an environment free from noise and disturbances as they fellowship with the Lord and with each other.

Again this year, and as part of observing the Territorial Day of Prayer, the youth headed to the Hennops Hiking Trail for this special time away. There was a strong desire from the young people to be in the wilderness, aligning with the Biblical example of Jesus, who often withdrew to pray in the wilderness (Luke 5:16).

During the 5km walk, stops in-between were made to reflect on the journey. At each stop, one of the youth shared their thoughts and experiences, accompanied by a relevant Bible verse. The prayer time was concluded with intercession for The Salvation Army, praying for strength in 2024 for soldiers, local officers and officers as they daily take up their cross and follow Him.
