Farewell to the Leaders of Central Division

On February 11, 2024, at Vosloorus Corps, the City & West and East Rand Sections of the Central Division gathered to bid farewell to their Divisional Leaders, Majors Samson and Zennar Maweu. Originally hailing from the Kenya East Territory, the Majors have served as the Divisional Leaders for the Central Division over the past three years. As they embark on a new journey following their recent farewell orders, Officers, Soldiers and Junior Soldiers came together to express their heartfelt appreciation. The Chief Secretary, Lieut-Colonel Themba Mahlobo, along with speakers representing various ministries within the Division, conveyed words of gratitude during the service. Musical ministry items from groups such as the Soweto Central Chorus, Divisional Songsters, Divisional Youth Band, Carl Sithole Girl’s Home, along with a Hosho presentation, were part of the worship and celebration service. Major Zennar Maweu offered meaningful words of thanks, while Major Samson Maweu encouraged people to rejoice, embrace restoration and reconciliation, urging unity as they forge ahead. The Territorial Leaders, Commissioners Torben and Deise Eliasen, bestowed a farewell blessing upon the Divisional Leaders, with the congregation joining in prayer, extending their hands towards them in support, unity and love.
