The Mid Kwa Zulu Natal Division recently underwent Protective Behaviours Training on April 12-13, 2024, hosted by Durban Central Corps. The training, led by Major Priscilla Ziqubu and Captains Sindi & Vukani Nkosi, proved instrumental in equipping participants to teach children essential skills for personal safety.

Protective Behaviours (PB) is a practical and empowering approach aimed at helping children develop personal safety awareness. It fosters self-confidence while imparting crucial skills for children to avoid potential victimization. This is accomplished through creating an understanding of personal safety, fostering trust in one’s intuitive senses to identify feelings of vulnerability, and cultivating strategies for self-protection.

Fifty-five delegates from the Mid Kwa Zulu Natal Division underwent this comprehensive Protective Behaviours training. They emerged fully equipped and prepared to extend this vital programme into schools, communities and Corps throughout the Division.
