On Thursday, hearts were full as the Territorial Headquarters (THQ) gathered to honour National Women’s Day, celebrated on August 9th. The Women’s Ministries Department put together a beautiful service, bringing together officers and employees from both Territorial Headquarters and Divisional Headquarters in the Central Division DHQ for a special morning.
The Mission Team supported the programme with their creative message through music and dance, filling the room with joy. Major Sengesizwe Nhandara shared an encouraging and uplifting testimony using her words to remind us of God’s grace and greatness.

Lieutenant Colonel Nokuthula Mahlobo, our Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries (TSWM), spoke with warmth and wisdom. The TSWM likened women to precious stones, each uniquely beautiful and strong. Her message was a heartfelt call to lift each other up, to build and support one another through every season of life.

Commissioner Deise Eliasen, the Territorial President of Women’s Ministries (TPWM), brought a creative and hands-on element to the programme. She guided the group through making lovely coasters from card, glue, and stones. It was a fun and simple craft, yet it held deep significance, aligning with theme of precious stones. The time together concluded with tea and fellowship, sharing stories and laughter, and feeling the strong bond of unity and family.

Today, we continue to celebrate the incredible God-given strength, grace, and beauty of women. As we honour this special day, let us remember the countless women in the Bible who model faith, courage, and wisdom. From Esther’s bravery to Mary’s obedience, from Ruth’s loyalty to Deborah’s leadership, we see God’s hand at work through the lives of remarkable women. Let us not lose sight that every woman is remarkable, created in the image of God, uniquely gifted, and deeply loved.
Happy Women’s Day!
