Lubabalo Hope Dathini from Goodwood Corps in the Western Cape Division has shared the impact that the Junior Miss programme has had on her life. This is her experience in her own words:
My officer told me that we would have a girls’ group called Junior Miss. I was excited because we were going to learn how to cook, bake, do nails, and study the Bible. I was selected to take the register, and it made me feel like a leader, someone who could guide others.
I invited some friends from school to Junior Miss because one of our lessons was about a bracelet where we learned about Jesus and how to share Him with others. Two of my friends started coming. My best friend now attends every Junior Miss programme and even invited her mom to church. My other friend became a Junior Soldier.

I am so proud to be part of Junior Miss because it teaches me to grow and to share the hope of Jesus. My middle name is Hope, and I like to spread the hope of Jesus.
Girls everywhere should join a Junior Miss programme because it teaches you about hygiene, Jesus, and how to be the best you can be.
The Junior Miss programme is more than a series of activities; it’s a life-changing journey that empowers young girls to grow in their faith, develop leadership skills, and build lasting friendships. By offering a Junior Miss ministry at your Corps, you provide a safe space for girls to learn valuable life skills, deepen their relationship with Jesus, and discover the joy of sharing His hope with others. If you’re a young girl looking to grow, lead, and make a difference, Junior Miss is the perfect place for you! If your Corps doesn’t already have a Junior Miss programme, why not start one? Be a part of shaping the next generation to be more like Jesus while equipping them for life!
