In a recent 2nd Year Officer Review for the Messengers of Reconciliation, the focus was on the theme of Integrity in Ministry. With an engaging programme that spanned topics like leadership, setting a personal example, faithfulness, and personal development, the officers were encouraged to strengthen their commitment to the principles that sustain an impactful ministry.
The keynote address was delivered by the Territorial President of Women’s Ministries (TPWM), who highlighted the significance of integrity as a foundation for godly leadership. Commissioner Deise Eliasen emphasized how integrity shapes both personal and ministry effectiveness. This set the tone for the sessions that followed, all aimed at reinforcing the role of integrity as an essential element in Christian service.
Throughout the programme, officers explored key leadership principles. They were reminded of the importance of loving God and serving from a foundation rooted in joy and purpose. They discussed the weight of setting an example for others and were challenged to embody the values they preach, highlighting the impact of personal integrity on their ministry.
As the sessions drew to a close, the Territorial Commander, Commissioner Torben Eliasen, spoke candidly about avoiding the traps that compromise one’s calling, while the Chief Secretary, Lieutenant Colonel Themba Mahlobo, highlighted how a right attitude is crucial for success in ministry.
Adding to these discussions, the Leader Development Officer encouraged officers to invest in ongoing personal development, emphasizing that a well-rounded ministry is built on continuous growth. Officers were urged to prioritize study and self-reflection, as these disciplines reinforce the moral and spiritual strength needed to serve effectively.
With such a comprehensive review, the Messengers of Reconciliation were inspired and equipped to deepen their dedication to God’s work, carrying forward a renewed commitment to integrity and personal development as they step into the next stages of their ministry journey.
