Imbali Corps recently participated in the ongoing campaign against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Child Abuse by joining the annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, hosted by Msunduzi Municipality. This event offered the Corps an important opportunity with other stakeholders to raise awareness and emphasize the need to stand up against GBV and Child Abuse within the community.
Held during the 16 Days of Activism Against GBV, the event was supported musically by the Imbali Corps Band, which helped to amplify the message of solidarity in the fight against violence. Local government leaders, including Umsunduzi Mayor Councillor Thebolla, Deputy Mayor Councillor Mxolisi Mkhize, and Speaker Councillor Eunice Majola (an Imbali Corps soldier), participated in delivering the important awareness message.

Through this involvement, Imbali Corps continues to play a proactive role in advocating for a society where women and children are safe, valued, and free from violence.
