Today, The Salvation Army’s Territorial Headquarters (THQ) joined the global Christian community in observing the World Day of Prayer—an annual gathering that unites believers in worship, reflection, and intercession.
The 2025 theme, “I Made You Wonderful,” drawn from Psalm 139:1-18 and led by the women of the Cook Islands, highlights an important truth: every person is fearfully and wonderfully made by God. With care, purpose, and love, the Creator has shaped each life with intentionality.
At THQ, the programme was led by Commissioner Deise Eliasen, Territorial President of Women’s Ministries, with the support of THQ staff and the Mission Team. Through Scripture readings, prayer, and worship, participants reflected on God’s deep knowledge of His people—His nearness, His craftsmanship, and His love that speaks worth into every life.
Today served as a valuable reminder that identity is not defined by circumstances or the opinions of others but by the One who created with purpose. As voices were lifted in prayer, hearts were encouraged to recognize and affirm the God-given value in themselves and those around them.
This time of worship reinforced a truth that supercedes cultures and borders. In a world that often assigns worth based on fleeting measures, the message of Psalm 139 stands firm—each life is wonderfully made by the hands of the Creator.
