On 20 September 2025, Limpopo Division conducted its first Divisional Men and Young Men’s Fellowship Local Officers Training. A few weeks ago, we had our two-day Divisional Men and Young Men’s Fellowship Conference, which was held at William Eadie Corps with a great number of attendees. After that successful weekend, we realized that in order to grow our Men’s ministries further in the Division, we need to strengthen the Men’s ministries at the local level so that the work of men can flourish in every Corps across the Division.
This past Saturday, 20 September 2025, Captain Sanele Ndlovu, Divisional Men’s Fellowship Secretary, supported by Major I. Mntambo, Divisional Commander, and other officers, conducted a successful Men’s Ministries Local Officers Training. The day began with our Divisional Commander sharing a devotion with all the delegates, encouraging each one of us to live a Godly life as men and to trust God in all that we are and do.

We then continued with Captain S. Ndlovu teaching under the topic “What is a Local Officer.” Captain Ndlovu also shared about the responsibilities and requirements of being a Salvation Army Local Officer, using the Officers and Regulations for Local Officers as a guide.
Captain Z. Fakudze spent some time with the men teaching about the Men’s Fellowship Structures from the Territorial level to the Corps level. He also spoke about correct protocols and lines of communication within the Men’s Fellowship structures. Lieutenant A. Ndou then led a question-and-answer session before the coffee break.

Captain S. Ndlovu continued with training on the Territorial Men’s Fellowship Guidelines, where he trained each man on their individual positions and responsibilities as appointed by their local Corps. Another session focused on reporting, including who reports to whom, when, and how. Captain Ndlovu also emphasized the importance of creating effective programmes to mentor young men and boys in the different Corps across the Division.
We concluded the training session for the day with the selection of the newly appointed Divisional Men’s Fellowship Advisory Board. Major I. Mntambo took some time to pray for them and officially welcomed them into their roles.

Major I. Mntambo then expressed her gratitude to everyone who attended the training, shared words of appreciation to Captain Sanele Ndlovu for organizing and preparing the session, and challenged all local officers present to continue fighting the good fight to win more men for Jesus in our communities.
