On Sunday, 28 September 2025, Montpelier Corps in the Mid KwaZulu Natal Division, under the leadership of Lieut-Colonel Lenah Jwili, joined Salvationists around the world in prayer for victims of modern slavery and human trafficking.

The words of Pope Francis were used to remind the congregation of the danger of silence: “If we close our eyes and ears, we will be accomplices of human trafficking.” Scripture from Isaiah 58:6 was shared, calling God’s people to stand against oppression, to set the captives free, and to seek justice for the vulnerable.

As the Corps prayed together, there was a deep sense of responsibility and compassion. Members were encouraged not only to remember those who suffer but also to act, raising their voices for freedom and dignity in the name of Christ.
