More than 145 men and young men from the Mid-KZN Division gathered at the Dalton Community Project on 29–30 November for Imbizo 2025, held under the theme “Leave a Lasting Legacy.” The event centred on Proverbs 13:22, urging participants to think generationally and build beyond themselves.
The weekend opened with registration, tea, and a hike, after which over 70 young men broke away for a dedicated session led by Mr Mathe Zulu. Captain Gregory Phello delivered the opening devotion for both groups. Chief Secretary Lt-Col Mahlobo led the afternoon session with a message on leaving a legacy of faith.

DMFS Lt G. Makebesana presented a divisional report outlining the ministry’s progress and future direction, while youth representative Mr Fika Ngwane shared the young men’s expectations for the legacy they hope to inherit.
Divisional Commander Major N. Ziqubu spoke on the importance of leaving a legacy of family, and Mr Phila Ndimande addressed the legacy of wealth, encouraging entrepreneurship and reminding attendees: “Ingqondo yakho ikuwe, yisebenzise” (“Your brain is in you, use it”). The day concluded with a vibrant jam session showcasing talents, and Major A. Mbane closed the evening with a devotion.
Sunday’s session was marked by deeper spiritual reflection as Lt-Col Mahlobo expanded on the theme, emphasising that a good man prepares blessings for future generations. The Imbizo ended with renewed commitment among participants to build lasting legacies through faith, family, and responsible leadership.
