The Northern Kwa Zulu Natal Division recently hosted a Divisional Men’s Rally on Saturday, November 4, 2023, with 40 men in attendance. The event featured an engaging programme centred around the theme “Understanding the Power and the Purpose of Men.” The primary message emphasized the significance of self-leadership, knowledge and acceptance.
The rally included a presentation on Gender-Based Violence cases in relation to men, delivered by Warrant Officer Magubane from the South African Police Service (SAPS). The men in attendance were responsive, actively engaging with the content and posing questions for further clarification.
In addition to addressing crucial issues such as Gender-Based Violence, the Department of Health took the opportunity to speak to the group about Men’s Health. They brought along a mobile clinic, providing the men with the chance to undergo various medical tests. This proactive approach towards health awareness highlighted The Salvation Army’s commitment to men’s holistic well-being.
The rally not only served as a platform for engaging discussions but also centred on exploring the power and purpose of men as they walk with Christ.
