On the 20th of September 2024, the Mission Team took to the streets of Kensington, just next to Eastgate Mall, to raise awareness about anti-human trafficking and modern-day slavery. The aim of the outreach was to educate the public about the prevalence of these issues, promote community engagement, and encourage individuals to take action against human trafficking.

It was a fun yet challenging experience for the team as they were stationed in a high-traffic area full of passing cars, but the responses were overwhelmingly positive. Feedback from community members and motorists indicated that many individuals learned new information about human trafficking that they were previously unaware of.

Overall, it was an amazing experience for the team; day by day, they are learning new traits about themselves and gaining confidence. It was also an educational experience for the team, as they had to first go through the resources provided on anti-human trafficking before they could go out and raise awareness.

On the 27th of September, during the Territorial Day of Prayer, the Mission Team held an evening prayer gathering focused on victims of human trafficking, abuse, and modern-day slavery. The team took the initiative to set up the hall with different prayer stations, each addressing various topics related to human trafficking.

This allowed the team to pause from their everyday duties and spend time in prayer. The evening prayer not only served as a spiritual gathering but also as an educational platform that empowered team members to take action against human trafficking through prayer and awareness.
