The Northern KwaZulu-Natal Division celebrated the Easter weekend, hosted by the Ezakheni Corps, under the theme ‘Thou Christ of Burning, Cleansing Flame/Krestu Mlilo Ocwebeliyo.’ The weekend was led by the Divisional Leaders, Majors P. and V. Buthelezi, and was graced with the presence and participation of the Training College staff and the Keepers of the Covenant session of cadets. It brought together officers (active and retired), soldiers, adherents, and friends of the Army in joyful worship, dance, and a sincere encounter with the presence of the Lord.

The weekend of transformation commenced with Major V. Buthelezi, Divisional Commander, introducing the theme and setting the spiritual tone. He emphasized that the Church today desperately needs a fresh outpouring of the fire of Christ—a fire that cleanses away sin and impurity, making us holy as He is holy. Bible messages shared throughout the weekend by various officers powerfully ministered to the congregation, deepening the theme’s impact.

We must not forget the vibrant children’s ministry, where Lieutenant Z. Keyisi (DCMO) and members of the youth board ministered under the theme ‘Jesus, the Cleansing Fire’ to the young ones. We are especially grateful for the cadets who led the Youth Praise evening, guiding our young people to Christ and reminding them of the fire He has placed within them. Throughout the discussions and worship, the presence of God was deeply felt.

On Saturday, a Bible study titled ‘The Theology of The Salvation Army’ focused on the ‘Blood and Fire’ motto. The Divisional Leaders reminded us of our identity and the solid foundation on which we are built. This study revived our souls and reignited the spirit of Salvationism, clearly seen during the subsequent open-air outreach. The entire Division took to the streets of Ezakheni to boldly proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ.

The Resurrection Meeting on Sunday was nothing short of a powerful manifestation of God’s glory and presence—a sacred time in which the congregation celebrated our Risen Saviour with reverence and joy.
