At Catherine Booth Corps in the Eastern KwaZulu-Natal Division, outreach efforts have made a real and lasting impact on the local community. Lieutenant Abongile Mbane shares how, with the generous support of a donor, the Corps was able to reach more than 500 individuals across the community, hospital, schools, and church.

“We managed to make a huge difference by providing meals to those in need,” Lieutenant Mbane reflects. “While the need remains great, we are thankful to have been visible in the community, and the feedback we received has been heartwarming.”

The outreach reminds us of the compassionate words of Jesus in Matthew 25:40: “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Through acts of kindness and practical support, Catherine Booth Corps continues to live out this calling, bringing comfort, care, and hope to those who need it most.
As winter approaches, The Salvation Army encourages everyone to join in the Winter Blanket Drive by donating new or gently used blankets. These donations help provide warmth and comfort to those in need across many communities, sharing hope and kindness far and wide.
