Sunday, 10 August, was a day full of celebration at Katlehong Corps in the Central Division. Under the leadership of Captains Siyabonga and Khanyisile Mcineka, the Corps welcomed eight new junior soldiers who confidently stood to say the Junior Soldier promise before moving to the mercy seat to sign their pledges. It was a beautiful moment as these young people took an important step in their spiritual journey.
The service included beautiful music from the Corps band as they gently ministered through He Leadeth Me, and a moving vocal item that reminded everyone present that People Need the Lord. Some of the girls from Carl Sithole Children’s Home also took part in the service, adding a special contribution to the service.

Major Brendan Browski had the privilege of commissioning nine new local officers who will serve in various roles to support and strengthen the ministry of the Corps:
- CSM: Nicholas Bhengu
- Corps Secretary: Nobuhle Khumalo
- Recruiting Sergeant: Sandile Mcinya
- Quarter Master: Takalani Radzilani
- Visiting Sergeant: Senzo Mashaba
- Men’s Fellowship Secretary: Sandile Khumalo
- Songster Leader: Robert Ndlovu
- Over 60s Secretary: Thenjiwe Hlalele
- Cradle Roll Sergeant: Ntombikayise Mbonane
The Corps family warmly welcomed these new leaders, trusting God will guide them as they serve the Corps and community together.

Cadet Thapelo Gumede shared a challenging and encouraging message on holy living. Cadet Xolani Lubisi also participated in the service as the Cadets engage in their out-training, which they are currently doing at Katlehong Corps.
May God richly bless Katlehong Corps as they continue to work and grow side by side to share the saving love of Jesus Christ.
