The Territorial Mission Team joined hands with the Galeshewe Corps, under the leadership of Lieutenants Mzwakhe and Sibongile Ngobeni, and Captains Gerald (DYO) and Thandokazi Kabede (DCMO) for outreach in the Galeshewe community. The outreach was filled with opportunities to serve, connect, and share God’s love with people from all walks of life.

There was ministry at a local clinic, offering care, prayer, and encouragement to those in need. This was followed by a visit to the nearby area, where team members engaged with community members, sharing words of hope and the message of the Gospel. In addition, the team dedicated time to school ministry and one-on-one evangelism in the community. The outreach also included a youth ministry, and a Kids Club, bringing joy and fun to children while teaching them about God’s love.
Immediately following the two days of outreach, the Central Division Yconnexion commenced at a campsite in Warrenton, where young people gathered to explore faith and personal growth under the theme, “Siyakhula?” answering the question “What’s growing on?” Yconnexion began with a creative group activity, “Seeds of Faith,” where each participant planted a seed symbolizing what they wanted to grow in their spiritual journey.
Throughout the weekend, sessions encouraged young people to dig deep in their walk with God. Candidate Patience Mhlanga led a morning devotion on being “Rooted in Christ,” while Captain Dumisani Fakude shared insights on “Spiritual Habits That Help You Grow.” Other sessions included “Breaking Through Barriers: Healing & Forgiveness” by Captain Thandokazi Kabede, “Faith in Action: Serving Others with Love” by Lieutenant Anesu Mbofana, “Healthy Friendships and Boundaries” with Mrs Nomsa Lengoasa, and “Discovering Your Purpose” led by Captain S. Mcineka. Each session facilitated reflection, learning, and a deeper commitment to living out faith in everyday life.
The weekend also included time for fun and teamwork, as young people participated in games and group challenges, building friendships and unity between the Corps. Saturday evening offered a powerful time of prayer and worship, with the Territorial Mission Team leading young people through prayer stations under the theme “Connecting with the Vineyard Owner.” This was complemented by a session on “Prayer as a Way of Growing Closer to God,” allowing participants to experience the power of prayer.
The weekend concluded on Sunday with a morning devotion led by Mrs Lerato Molepo, followed by the final worship session. During this session, Divisional Commander Major Annanias Nhandara presented the Candidate Badges and collecting cards to accepted Candidates Sethu Memani (South Rand Corps) and Patience Mhlanga (Galeshewe Corps). There was also a call for young people to offer themselves for officership and service on the Territorial Mission Team, and many responded, stepping forward in commitment. A message focused on unity and ongoing growth together was shared, while the DYO encouraged young people with a message motivating them to bear lasting fruit in their lives and communities.
We thank God for the work He has done in the lives of the young people over this weekend. Many recommitted their lives to Christ, discovered new ways to grow in faith, and others responded to the call to serve others. From planting seeds of faith to stepping forward for officership and mission, the weekend showed how young people are growing spiritually, deepening their relationship with God, and preparing to make a difference in their communities. When young people are encouraged in faith, guided in service, and supported in fellowship, they flourish and bear lasting fruit for God’s Kingdom. May it continue to be so for the young people in the Central Division!
