Junior Soldiers from Kwa Thema Corps in the Central Division recently stepped out into their community to share a simple but powerful message about the love that God has for people. A total of 23 people took part in the outreach, including 19 Junior Soldiers, three leaders, and the Corps Officer, Lieutenant Ziphozethu Keyisi. The programme began at the Corps, where the theme of the day was introduced and the Junior Soldiers were encouraged to show Christ’s love in practical ways.

Before going out, the Corps Officer guided the young people on how to start conversations with others, encouraging them to be bold and confident when speaking to members of the community. The group then went into the streets of Kwa Thema, where the Junior Soldiers shared sweets and scones with community members. Each gift included a small note with the message: “You are not alone, you’re loved.” The children also took time to pray with people they met along the way, offering words of encouragement and hope.

The outreach concluded with a special moment when two boys from the community returned with the group to the Corps. They were prayed for and warmly encouraged to come back again.

This outreach was a meaningful reminder that sharing God’s love does not always require grand gestures. Through simple acts of kindness, prayer, and conversation, the Junior Soldiers were able to bring encouragement and hope to members of their community. Their willingness to step out in faith demonstrated that young people can play a powerful role in sharing the message of Christ’s love and reminding others that they are not alone.
