From 1–4 September 2025, the Carl Sithole Centre was alive with purpose, passion, and the sound of young hearts ready to carry the Gospel to the world. Twenty-six delegates from various divisions gathered under the theme inspired by Romans 10:15: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” This training was a life-changing experience. Over four days, these young people were equipped with tools, strategies, and spiritual wisdom to boldly share the Word of God. The programme was filled with powerful teachings, practical skills, and moments of deep reflection, all designed to prepare them for the mission field.

Laying the Foundation: What Is Evangelism?

The training began with sessions led by Captain Maphalala, who laid a solid foundation for understanding evangelism. Through engaging discussions and thought-provoking lessons, delegates explored the basics of what evangelism is, why it is essential, and how to share the Gospel. Captain Maphalala also introduced the concept of “the bridge”—a simple yet powerful visual tool for explaining the Gospel message. Delegates were further equipped with strategies for handling difficult questions, helping them gain confidence to share their faith even in challenging situations.

Evangelizing Across Cultures

One of the standout sessions was led by Neo Kolobe, who focused on mastering cultural intelligence in evangelism. Neo emphasized the importance of understanding, respecting, and connecting with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. Delegates learned how to navigate cultural differences while remaining faithful to the Gospel, ensuring that their outreach is both effective and compassionate.

Practical Evangelism: Door-to-Door Ministry

Captain Gerald Kabade brought evangelism to life with a dynamic session on door-to-door ministry. This practical workshop taught delegates how to approach individuals and families with humility, clarity, and boldness. He shared valuable tips on starting conversations, presenting the Gospel, and leaving a lasting impact. By the end of the session, delegates felt equipped and ready to step out into their communities with confidence.

Reaching the Little Ones

Scripture Union facilitated an engaging session on children’s evangelism, reminding delegates of the importance of planting the Word of God in young hearts. Using creative methods like storytelling, interactive activities, and games, they demonstrated how to share the Gospel in ways that truly connect with children. This session highlighted both the joy and responsibility of reaching the next generation, ensuring that even the youngest members of society are introduced to the love of Christ.

Taking It to the Streets

The training culminated in a powerful outreach to the Meadowlands community. Delegates put their learning into action through street evangelism and a vibrant kids’ club. On the streets, young people boldly shared their faith, prayed with strangers, and offered words of hope. Meanwhile, the kids’ club became a celebration of joy and faith, filled with singing, laughter, and lessons about Jesus. Together, these activities were a living expression of Romans 10:15, as the delegates brought good news to those in need of hope and love.

Celebrating Lives Transformed

As the training drew to a close, there was much to celebrate. Delegates left Carl Sithole not only equipped with knowledge and skills but also inspired to continue the work of evangelism in their own communities. Most importantly, lives were won for Christ during the outreach—a testament to God’s faithfulness and the power of His Word. We give all glory to God for the success of this training and for the young people who have answered the call to be His hands and feet. May their “beautiful feet” continue to carry the good news far and wide, transforming hearts and communities for His Kingdom. #ProudlySalvationist
