Montpelier Corps, together with Thembela Home for the Aged under the leadership of Lieut Colonel Lenah Jwili, recently engaged in a campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer. The Home League focused on this important topic, emphasizing that early detection can save lives and encouraging members to take proactive steps for their health.

The message of awareness and hope was then taken to the streets, intentionally reaching the homeless community, with the involvement of a nursing professional who addressed key information about prevention, signs, and support available for those affected by breast cancer.

On Sunday, 19 October, the campaign continued during the Sunday morning service at Montpelier Corps, where two breast cancer survivors shared their stories. Their testimonies highlighted courage and hope, inspiring the congregation and reinforcing the importance of awareness and early action while gratefully giving God the glory for His hand of healing upon their lives.

Through these efforts, Montpelier Corps and Thembela Home for the Aged in the Mid Kwa Zulu Natal Division have demonstrated how Corps and Centres can come together to educate, support, and encourage one another in the fight against breast cancer.
