Pietermaritzburg Corps in the Mid KwaZulu-Natal Division annually engages in gift wrapping at the Cascades Shopping Centre with a threefold purpose. Firstly, the initiative provides a much-appreciated service to the shopping community, creating visibility for The Salvation Army. Secondly, it serves as a means to raise funds to support mission efforts. Thirdly, the activity encourages service across ages and generations, with children, youth, parents and others all actively participating. This multi-faceted approach not only contributes to the community but also fosters a sense of unity and shared mission within the Corps, highlighting the diverse ways in which everyone can contribute to The Salvation Army’s mission.
