On Friday, May 3rd, 2024, the Mpumalanga & eSwatini Division’s special weekend commenced with an Officers Meeting, led by the Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries, Lt. Colonels Themba and Nokuthula Mahlobo and supported by the Divisional Commander, Major Naomi Malinga. The first session began with a devotion led by Lt. Colonel Themba Mahlobo and meaningful fellowship was experienced by the Officers. The theme for the weekend was “It’s in the Blood”.

The Saturday morning programme included a Local Officers meeting, which proved to be highly informative. Following this, the Division engaged in a celebration of Salvationism, featuring presentations by Junior Soldiers including timbrel displays, worship dances and ministry from the Divisional Songsters.

Sunday commenced with a march of witness, leading into the Sunday morning service. One of the highlights of the meeting was the acknowledgment of Local Officers who had served faithfully for an extended period of time. Among them was Dr. Peter Qwabe, who has dedicated a total of 40 years in various local officer positions across different Corps and Divisions. The Chief Secretary concluded the meeting with a sermon centered around the remnant who know and remember the glory of the house of the Lord (Haggai 2:9). The congregation earnestly sought the Lord’s presence, with many filling the mercy seat. This service was supported by a visit from Deputy Minister Fish Mahlalela, accompanied by Speaker Hilda Nyambi Sambo from Nkomazi Municipality.
