The Salvation Army International has taken an exciting step forward by becoming a content partner with ‘YouVersion,’ the team behind the widely popular Bible App. Endorsed by The General’s Council, this partnership enhances our mission to encourage Scripture engagement among Salvationists, Adherents and Friends of The Salvation Army.

For those unfamiliar with the Bible App by YouVersion, it’s a free application available for Android and iOS devices, offering over 2,400 versions of the Bible in more than 1,600 languages. With more than half a billion downloads worldwide, it is a powerful tool for personal discipleship.

What are the benefits of engaging with this way of reading God’s Word?

Engaging with the YouVersion Bible App offers multiple benefits. As a content partner, we now have a new avenue to distribute Bible-based study and devotional plans, enhancing our resource engagement. The app also provides a unique space for community Scripture engagement, allowing users to join reading plans together regardless of their physical location. Through features like inviting friends, sharing reflections and sending reminders and encouragement, it encourages meaningful connections. Additionally, with its emphasis on accessibility, including audio descriptions, the app ensures that everyone, regardless of their needs, can engage with God’s Word.

Open Doors. Open Hearts. Exploring Biblical Hospitality

As we focus on being grounded in God’s Word, everyone is invited to ‘take God’s Word with you wherever you go’ by utilising this resource, commencing 4 August 2024, with a devotional series on Biblical hospitality.

Join us in this journey. Let’s embrace this opportunity to deepen our engagement with Scripture, grow together in faith and extend the love and hospitality of Christ to all. Download the Bible App today and be part of this global movement. Together, we can grow side by side as we continue to establish our lives in God’s Word.
