With the intention of collaboration and offering support, a team from the Canada and Bermuda Territorial Headquarters Public Relations and Communications Section visited the Southern Africa Territory this week.

Led by Lieutenant Colonel John Murray (Territorial Communication Secretary) , the team included Geoff Moulton (Editor in Chief, Director of Communications), Glenn van Gulik (Divisional Secretary for Public Relations & Territorial Marketing), Janet Park (Chief Development Officer), Paul Hebblethwaite (TrueSense Marketing) and Kim Kotloski (TrueSense Marketing).

The primary objective of the visit was to exchange ideas and provide support to the Communications Section in the Territory. The visit began with leading family prayers at the Territorial Headquarters, which offered both encouragement and inspiration to all in attendance. Throughout the morning, the team engaged with members of the Communication Section. These interactions were opportunities to share insights, explore new concepts, and discuss strategies to enhance the Territory’s communication efforts. The exchange of ideas was indeed helpful, providing fresh perspectives and practical solutions that serve to elevate communication practices both internally and externally.

Beyond their time at the Territorial Headquarters, the team visited Social Centres in the Central Division, demonstrating their genuine interest in understanding our work at the grassroots level. The visits included Ethembeni Children’s Home, Carl Sithole Children’s Home, and Ephraim Zulu Senior Citizens Home allowing the team to witness firsthand the vital work being done and to offer encouragement to those serving in these essential roles.

The visit also included time at the College for Officer Training, where the team engaged with the Cadets, providing education on various aspects of communication. This interaction not only equipped the Cadets with valuable skills but also encouraged a deeper understanding of the role communication plays in ministry.

Throughout their time in the Territory, the team from the Canada and Bermuda Territory demonstrated eagerness to share their knowledge, concepts, and resources, while also approaching the visit with a keen willingness to learn from our Territory. This exchange of expertise and experience has been a tremendous blessing to the Southern Africa Territory. As we move forward, the insights and support provided by the team will undoubtedly continue to enrich communication efforts in our shared mission of saving souls, growing saints, and serving suffering humanity.
