From the 23rd to the 25th of August 2024, Junior Soldiers in Eswatini gathered in the capital city of Mbabane at Msunduza Corps for a Junior Soldiers Rally. In line with the objectives of the Territorial Strategic Plan, it was deemed necessary to hold another rally in Eswatini as it is challenging to cross the border with minors due to many not having passports and certain legal implications.

The theme for the weekend, “Wholly Refreshed for the Lord,” led into a glorious time of revival and encouragement for the Junior Soldiers through various ministries and activities. We are grateful to the Police Department for joining us to educate about Child Protection and Human Trafficking. Hearing the horrific stories of child abuse and trafficking of children prompted us to take to the streets to raise awareness, during which many children from the community joined us at Msunduza Corps.

Throughout the weekend, we reminded the Junior Soldiers of what it means to be a Junior Soldier by studying the JS Promise. Moreover, on Sunday, we had a joyous and beautiful meeting where 27 Junior Soldiers were enrolled by Major T. Mabaso and challenged all through a Bible message from Lieutenant S. Zulu. Hearing the testimonies of the Junior Soldiers displayed God’s grace and favour.

We are grateful for the vision and leadership of Major T. Mabaso and Lieut-Col. Z. Mabaso as they lead the Msunduza Circuit. Let us continue to pray for the ministry in Eswatini.
