On 5 April, the Mid-KwaZulu-Natal Division held an exciting CCM/Faith-Based Facilitation (FBF) Training Day, led by Lt-Colonel Doris Dlamini, the Territorial Secretary for Community Care Ministries (CCM) and Retired Officers. The training brought together Corps leaders, HL locals, and individuals identified with the intention of serving as Corps CCM Secretaries.

The day emphasised the vital role of Community Care Ministries (CCM) and Faith-Based Facilitation (FBF)—two of The Salvation Army’s most effective ministry models for community outreach and transformation. These tools equip Corps to make a meaningful impact by engaging local communities, helping people recognise their God-given potential, and encouraging collaborative problem-solving.
Participants explored how their Corps can become agents of transformation through partnership with community leaders and key stakeholders. The programme included interactive role-plays, practical exercises, and presentations, with a focus on community mapping and the Faith-Based Facilitation process.

A notable highlight was the inclusion of six men among the 63 new people trained—an exciting sign of increased participation across all demographics. There is great anticipation for the difference these newly trained members will make both in their Corps and their wider communities.
As these leaders go out, equipped and empowered, in faith we celebrate the ripple effects of lives transformed, communities strengthened, and the Gospel made visible through compassionate action.
