The Mid KwaZulu-Natal Division Easter 2025 gathering was hosted by the Weenen Section and held at Wembezi Corps. The theme for the weekend was “Behold the Great Redeemer Die” / “Bheka Umhlengi Wakho Omkhulu Uyafa”. It was a powerful and spirit-filled time as we came together to remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and celebrate His resurrection.

Friday
We began our Easter weekend on Friday with a tent full of soldiers and friends of The Salvation Army. The spirit was high, and excitement filled the air as people gathered together once again. Despite the bad weather, the planned programme went ahead without disruption. Close to two thousand people were in attendance.

The meeting commenced with a vibrant march of witness, which drew in members of the community. The divisional band and songsters participated, and the theme song “Behold the Great Redeemer Die” was beautifully sung. We were blessed with strong teaching and preaching throughout the day, and the people responded well to the messages shared.

The evening featured our Shayataful meeting, where the division performed very well compared to last year.

Saturday
Saturday began with a morning men’s fellowship meeting led by young men. Attendance was good, and even some ladies joined in. We were able to commission 35 men as sectional committee members for our four sections.

We were honoured by the presence of Councillor Mduduzi Myeza, Mayor of iNkosi Langalibalele Municipality, who thanked and appreciated The Salvation Army’s work in various communities.

In the afternoon, we held two key activities. First, we had an open-air meeting that attracted many from the community and received a strong response. Secondly, we carried out community engagement, providing hot meals to the homeless and those struggling with drug addiction in the town of Estcourt. We also supported families displaced by recent floods.

These activities were aligned with our TSP focus areas for 2025. All were successful and well attended. Many soldiers participated in large numbers, and we thank God for the work and seeds planted in the Estcourt area. We believe they will continue to grow through ongoing community engagement and the visible presence of The Salvation Army.

Sunday
On Sunday, as we celebrated the resurrected Christ, the tent was packed—so full that people were standing due to lack of space. We were blessed by the participation of our officers, who shared the Word of God powerfully. The response was strong, with several individuals feeling called to officership.

We give all glory to God for a successful and Spirit-filled Easter 2025 meetings.
