Hey there!

Ever wonder how you can make a real difference in the world? Sometimes, it’s the small things—like showing kindness or helping someone out—that have the biggest impact. That’s what servanthood is all about: helping others and putting their needs before your own, just like Jesus showed us.

What Is Servanthood?
Servanthood is all about caring for others and putting their needs before your own—just like Jesus did. It means being kind, humble, and loving, whether you’re at home, at school, or hanging out with friends. Even small acts like sharing your snacks or helping someone with homework are meaningful ways to serve and make a difference.

Jesus’ Example
In John 13:17, Jesus did something truly powerful—He washed His disciples’ feet. This act of humility showed that even the greatest among us can choose to serve. Jesus teaches us that serving with humility is a blessing and that no act of kindness is too small to matter.

Why Servanthood Matters
When we serve, we bring hope to people who may be feeling lonely, sad, or in need. Simple acts of service can brighten someone’s day and help them feel closer to Jesus. Servanthood is about making the world a better place—one kind act at a time.

Living a Life of Service
Serving isn’t just a one-time event; it’s a lifestyle. Whether you’re at home, at school, or in your community, every small act counts. In Matthew 25:31–40, Jesus reminds us that when we help those in need, we are serving Him directly.

At The Salvation Army, we believe that living with love, kindness, and humility is some of the way we show God’s love to the world. Whether you’re volunteering, helping a friend, or simply being kind, your actions can make a huge impact.

So let’s choose to serve others every day—and together, we can make the world a brighter, better place!
